Three Prairie Wolves Garner Academic All-District Honors

LINCOLN (May 26, 2022) - Nebraska Wesleyan track and field had three student-athletes receive CoSIDA Academic All-District honors. The Prairie Wolves had Reagan Janzen, Kyle Ott, and Kyle Dickinson all earn first-team accolades.

Reagan Janzen's Academic All-District award adds to her decorated career at NWU. In March, Janzen was named as the NCAA Division III Elite 90 winner for Women's Indoor Track and Field, which is given to the student-athlete with the highest GPA at the national meet.

In her career, Janzen is a two-time All-American in the women's 4x400-meter relay and the women's 4x800-meter relay and an eight-time Conference Champion, including winning back-to-back women's outdoor 800-meter run titles. This season, Janzen qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships in the women's 800-meter run. Janzen carried a 4.0 GPA as a Nursing major.

Kyle Ott adds the All-District accolade to his resume for the first time. During the indoor season, Ott qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships in the men's Shot Put and was All-Conference in the men's Hammer Throw during the 2021 season. Additionally, Ott has three marks that rank top 10 in NWU program history. Ott carried a 3.98 GPA in Exercise Science.

Kyle Dickinson is a repeat Academic All-District selection for Nebraska Wesleyan. Dickson was tabbed with the honor a season ago. Additionally, Dickinson was an All-American in the men's 400-meter dash during the 2021 outdoor season. Dickinson also won the conference title in the event that same season. In his career, Dickinson is a three-time national qualifier and nine-time All-Conference honoree. Dickinson carried a 3.59 GPA in Business Administration.

Janzen, Ott, and Dickinson are among 11 men and 11 women student-athletes on the NCAA Division III District 8 first-team, which covers 21 states and Canada. Recipients of the All-District Award move onto the national ballot to become CoSIDA Academic All-Americans. NWU has 185 Academic All-Americans to rank ninth nationally across all collegiate divisions.
