HOW IT HAPPENED
- Coe seized the lead in the match right away, winning the first set 25-19. Addie Thomas was on fire in the opening frame as she had seven of her 27 kills in the first set.
- In the second set, NWU came back and jumped out to an early lead before winning 25-22 to tie the match at one set apiece. The Priarie Wolves quickly took the lead and kept it for the duration of the period.
- The Kohawks recovered in the third, winning that set 25-20 to take the lead back in the match.
- Despite being down 2-1, Nebraska Wesleyan didn't give up and responded with an amazing fourth set that led to a 25-19 win. The Prairie Wolves only made two errors while hitting an impressive .318 for the set.
- Coe erupted in the final set, scoring the first six points to take a commanding lead. Following a well-timed timeout by coach Rayna Cain, Nebraska Wesleyan steadily started to chip away, closing the gap to three points at 12-9. The comeback came up just short as Coe scored the final three points to secure the match.
