Jackson Ties Program Record At Wartburg Invitational


WAVERLY, Iowa (September 12, 2021) - Nebraska Wesleyan's Madison Jackson tied a program record for the lowest individual 18 hole score. Jackson shot a 74 in the second round of the Wartburg Invitational at Prairie Links Golf Course in Waverly, Iowa.

The Prairie Wolves made big strides during day two of the invitational. The round two team score for NWU was 17 strokes lower than the round one score. The improvement helped the Prairie Wolves stay competitive in one of the region's toughest fields. 

Jackson led NWU for the tournament with a two-day total of 154 and a top 25 finish. For Jackson, it was just the second event as a Prairie Wolf. Fellow first-year student-athlete, Megan Lutt recorded a 187 over the two rounds. Emalie Wightman carded a190 and Elayna Boose shot a 194 in the event. Nebraska Wesleyan's scorecard was rounded with a 199 from Hayley Reicks.
