ST. LOUIS, Mo. ( March , 2021) - The Nebraska Wesleyan softball team (2-6) fell to DePauw University (8-0), 1-0, in game one and defeated Fontbonne University (1-5), 3-2, in game two to close out six games in three days in St. Louis, Missouri.

Game One Recap
A pitchers duel highlighted the first game for Nebraska Wesleyan. Bailey Green went six innings and struck out four with only four hits allowed. DePauw scored the only run of the game in the top of the third inning off an RBI single. Emma Alfieri had two hits for NWU, she was the only player to record multiple hits in the game. 

Game Two Recap
Kailey Meyer had her no-hit bid broken up in the bottom seventh-inning as he tossed a complete game with six strikeouts and only one walk. NWU got on the board in the top of fifth inning when Hanna Roth drove in Taylor Styskal. The Prairie Wolves added two more runs in the next inning on back-to-back singles from Valerie Gerlach and Ashlee Mayorga. Gerlach's liner to left field drove in Emma Alfieri then Mayorga's single brought in Kellie Lang. The Griffins added two runs in the bottom seventh inning before being turned away.

What's Next
Nebraska Wesleyan opens conference play with Loras College on March 20 and 21. The Prairie Wolves travel to Dubuque, Iowa for a three-game series beginning with a doubleheader on Saturday, March 20.
