Volleyball’s Winning Streak Snapped At Dubuque


DUBUQUE, Iowa. (March 6, 2021) - Nebraska Wesleyan volleyball (2-3, 2-3 A-R-C) was swept by the University of Dubuque (2-3, 2-2 A-R-C), 25-14, 25-17, 25-14 to snap NWU's two-match winning streak. 

The Prairie Wolves landed 30 kills but hit just .087 for the match, which tied for the lowest amount this season. Nebraska Wesleyan struggled from the service line as well as it registered just one ace after tallying 12 aces on Thursday, March 4 in a sweep over Central College. 

Defensively, NWU had a season-high 52 digs. 16 of those digs were from Kelsie Stovall. Stovall's 16 digs were her best performance this season as well.

Hannah Domandle led the Prairie Wolves with 12 kills on the offensive side of the net. It was the first time in her Nebraska Wesleyan career she landed double-digit kills in a match. 

Notable Stats and Performances
-The Prairie Wolves had four players land at least four kills.
-Grace Hogeland was credited with 10 assists, it is her fourth straight game with 10 assists or more.
-Domandle recorded 10 digs, this season she has at least three games with double-digit digs.

Nebraska Wesleyan is on the road again on Wednesday, March 10 for a 7:30 p.m. match against Simpson College. The JV match is set for 6 p.m.
