No. 1 Wartburg Halts Wrestling’s Dual Win Streak

WAVERLY, Iowa (November 17, 2021) - Nebraska Wesleyan wrestling fell in its first American Rivers Conference dual of the 2021-2022 season to No. 1 Wartburg, 52-0. The loss snaps the Prairie Wolves' streak of back-to-back dual wins.

NWU's Zeth Gerkensmeyer battled in the 165-lb weight class match. Gerkensmeyer grappled his Wartburg opponent to a narrow, 10-5, defeat. The Knights took the dual behind six pins, two major decisions, and a tech fall.
