Heartbreak Hits Again For Women’s Tennis


LINCOLN, Neb. (October 6, 2021) - For the second straight match, Nebraska Wesleyan women's tennis dropped a heartbreaking match by a 5-4 decision, this time to Midland University at the Lincoln Sports Foundation Sports Complex.  

NWU raced out to an early match lead by winning two doubles points. Brooke Sailer and Ella Ford earned the first point with a decisive, 8-4, win at No. 1 Doubles. At No. 2 Doubles, Addi Duranski and Kailey Jay-Kissler  won a tough match by the score of 8-6. 

The Prairie Wolves also picked up another win in singles play from Duranski. Duranski won a hard-fought match at No. 4 Singles, 5-7, 7-5, 10-8. Crystal Craft tallied a point for Nebraska Wesleyan at No. 3 Singles. Craft controlled the match for a 6-2, 7-5 victory. 

UP NEXT
Nebraska Wesleyan travels to Dubuque, Iowa for a pair of conference road matches. The first match is against the University of Dubuque at 1 p.m. with the second match scheduled for 4 p.m. against Loras College.
