LINCOLN, Neb. (October 26, 2021) - The Nebraska Wesleyan women's tennis team narrowly fell to Buena Vista, 5-4, inside Knight Fieldhouse on Tuesday afternoon. 

Despite being down a few key pieces due to injury or illness, NWU jumped out to an early match lead. Ella Ford and Crystal Craft cruised to an easy, 8-1, victory at No. 2 Doubles. At No. 3 Doubles, Carley Rubenking and Ava Johnson also had little trouble earning a victory, winning the match 8-1.

In Singles play, Addi Duranski tallied a straight set win at No. 3 Singles, 6-2, 6-2. Johnson added another win for the Prairie Wolves at No. 6 Singles. Johnson, took the match in straight sets as well, 6-3, 6-2. 

However, BVU earned wins at No. 1, No. 2, No. 4, and No. 5 Singles to escape the match with the victory. The loss to the Beavers was the Prairie Wolves' sixth loss of the season by just a single point, including the fourth one-point loss in conference play.
