NWU Cross Country Takes 2nd at Coe Triangular

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Wartburg College won both the women's and men's team title with Nebraska Wesleyan University finishing 2nd in both races at the Coe College Cross Country Triangular on Saturday afternoon in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
 
In the men's race, the Knights had a perfect score getting the top five individual placings to score 15 points with NWU placing 2nd at 57 points.
 
Norbert Weijenberg was the top NWU runner in 8th place with a time of 26:50. Finishing right behind him was teammate Preston Decker in 9th place running 27:18.
 
The Wartburg women won the team race with 17 points, compared to 43 for second place NWU.
 
NWU was led by Leah Treffer who placed 5th in a time of 23:06.  Wartburg had the top four individual runners led by Aubrie Fisher who ran 22:06.
 
Camryn Larsen was 6th for the Prairie Wolves and Madi Bahe was also in the top ten with a 9th place finish.
