Biography

2019: Just missed out on earning All-Conference recognition during his junior year of cross country … placed 17th at the American Rivers Conference championships as the second NWU runner to cross the line … team’s top finisher at the NCAA III Central Regional Championships placing 39th to miss out on All-Region honors by four spots … opened the year running 26:40 at the Woody Greeno/Jay Dirksen Invite … selected as a USTFCCCA Scholar Athlete … also named to the American Rivers All-Academic team.  

2018: Ran every varsity race during his sophomore season to earn another letter … placed 22nd at the American Rivers Conference Championships as the fourth NWU runner to cross the line … was third highest Prairie Wolves runner at the NCAA III Central Region Championships placing 75th … opened the year with his highest placing at 14th in the Woody Greeno/Jay Dirksen Invite at Mahoney Golf Course. 

2017: Earned his first varsity letter by competing in the five varsity races of the season … competed at the NCAA III Championships as a freshman and was the 6th NWU runner to cross the line placing 259th overall … ran at the Iowa Conference Championships and finished 53rd overall in a time of 27:17.5 … in his first collegiate race he placed 42nd in the college division of the Woody Greeno/Jay Dirksen Invitational. 

Academic: Biology major.  

In High School: A four-year letterwinner in cross country at Fremont HS … also lettered in track & field … was an Academic All-Conference selection all four seasons of high school … member of National Honor Society.  

Personal: Born 11/25/1998, son of Jason and Angie Decker.
