AUBURNDALE, Fla. --- Curry College overcame a five run deficit to rally back for a 12-11 victory over Nebraska Wesleyan in a high scoring baseball game on Wednesday afternoon (March 11) at Lake Myrtle Park in Auburndale, Florida.

NWU jumped out to a 10-5 lead after four innings but the Prairie Wolves scored only one run the final five innings while Curry scored seven.

The Prairie Wolves took a 11-10 lead into the bottom of the 9
th inning but the first four batters for Curry reached. They tied the game with an RBI single then got the winning run on a sacrifice fly.

In the game the two teams combined for 29 hits and 23 runs with four total errors. Only six of the 29 hits were double figures with all six resulting in doubles.

Nebraska Wesleyan used seven different pitchers in the game. Curry had three players on the mound, with their final pitcher Williams limiting the Prairie Wolves to only one earned run in 5 2/3 innings.Â
Wyatt Stute started on the mound for NWU, going 1 2/3 innings allowing three earned runs and five hits. Closer
