EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – Nebraska Wesleyan picked up three wins but it wasn't enough as University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire won the dual 39-12 over the Prairie Wolves on Friday night at the McPhee Center in Eau Claire, Wis.
NWU is back in action on Saturday morning to compete at the Don Parker Open at Eau Claire.
The Prairie Wolves had an early 9-5 lead in the dual after three matches.
Eron Haynes won at 133 by forfeit, then
Ryan Smales earned a 5-2 decision over Elias Audley at 141. From there, the Prairie Wolves wouldn't get another victory until 285 when
Justin Hennessy won 3-1 over Noah Carter.
UW-Eau Claire won five matches by fall, one by tech fall and another by major decision to earn their 39 team points.
