DUBUQUE, Iowa – In the final American Rivers Conference wrestling dual match of the season, Nebraska Wesleyan fell 42-6 to 25
th-ranked University of Dubuque on Saturday (Feb. 15) in Dubuque, Iowa. The match was originally scheduled for January, but was postponed due to weather.
Eron Haynes was the lone Prairie Wolves winner on the day. Haynes won by fall at 1:21 over Brian Zerr at 133 pounds to remain undefeated in conference duals on the season as he finishes 6-0 in conference action and moves to 33-3 overall.
Two other NWU wrestlers battled hard in close decision losses. At 157,
Zeth Gerkensmeyer lost 6-5 to Jessy Diaz followed up at 165 where
Nathan Hunt dropped a 6-5 decision to Zarik Anderson.
The Prairie Wolves finish the conference dual season with a 2-6 record.
