Waverly, Iowa - No. 4 ranked Wartburg College handed Nebraska Wesleyan a 39-13 loss in the 2018-19 season opening wrestling dual on Wednesday night (Nov. 7). The Prairie Wolves picked up three wins on the day with
Ben Lodema picking up a fall in the second period.
Eron Haynes and Justin Hennesy also collected wins on the night. Haynes started off the dual with a 15-7 major decision. Hennessy closed out the dual with 12-7 decision.
Nebraska Wesleyan's 13 points were the most scored against Wartburg in a conference dual over the past four years. In each of the past two years, NWU did not score a point against the Knights.
The Prairie Wolves will next be in action on November 10 at the Luther College Open.
