DUBUQUE, Iowa – Nebraska Wesleyan won set one over Loras College on Friday night, but the Duhawks came back to win the next three as Loras won 3-1 over the Prairie Wolves in American Rivers Conference action.
Loras won the four set match in scores of 17-25, 25-21, 25-18, 25-22 to improve to 12-7 overall and 1-2 in conference play while the Prairie Wolves fall to 5-10 and 0-3 in A-R-C action.
NWU took the opening set 25-17, their first set victory in conference play this season. Loras was able to take control the rest of the way posting at least 13 kills in in each of the final three sets. Meanwhile, NWU had a negative hitting percentage in set three and had only ten kills in set two. NWU did have 13 kills in the fourth set with only three errors, but Loras pounded out 18 kills in the final set.
Kierra Harder had a team-high 10 digs to lead the Prairie Wolves but she hit .043 on the night.

Hannah Bellinghausen each had eight kills.
Cassidy Plooster dished out 29 assists with 13 digs to record a double-double.
Lizzie Saale had a team-high 18 digs.
Jenna LaCorte led Loras with 17 total kills and 11 digs to have a double-double. Abby Allgeyer also had a double double with 13 kills and 11 digs.
Loras recorded their first confence victory of the season leaving NWU as the only American Rivers team without a conference win.
NWU will try to get that first victory of the season on Saturday when they play the University of Dubuque.
