Box Score 2 INDIANOLA, Iowa – Nebraska Wesleyan picked up its first victory of the season in women's tennis on Saturday (Sept. 30) as the Prairie Wolves defeated Simpson College, 5-4, in Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action. Earlier in the day, NWU dropped a 9-0 mat at Central College.
NWU improves to 1-5 overall on the season with all six matches coming against IIAC competition.
The Prairie Wolves jumped ahead quick against Simpson as NWU won all three doubles matches.

Bridget McKeegan won 8-2 at No. 1 doubles,
Victoria Gorman and
Makinzie Vandewege won 8-6 at the No. 2 doubles spot and
Madi Hinshaw and Jordyn Fossel joined up to win the No. 3 match 8-4.
In singles action, Simpson came away with four of the six victories but the two wins for the Prairie Wolves clinched the victory.
McKeegan was a 6-0, 6-2 winner at No. 2 singles over Megan Bradley. The other winner was Fossel at No. 5 singles as she defeated Sierra Griffit, 6-3, 6-2.
NWU began the day in Pella, Iowa facing Central College in an IIAC dual. The Dutch took care of the Prairie Wolves winning all three doubles matches, then taking all six singles matches in straight sets.
Central improved to 6-1 and 4-1 in IIAC play with their victory.
