LINCOLN, Neb. – Nebraska Wesleyan University will begin their second season of wrestling on Saturday (Nov. 4) when the Prairie Wolves host perennial power Wartburg College in an Iowa Conference dual. The match between the Prairie Wolves and Knights will begin at 5:00 pm in Snyder Arena.

Brandon Bradley, completed their first season of wrestling in 2016-17 as they brought the program back to campus. NWU previously offered wrestling from 1962-81.
The Prairie Wolves return 16 letterwinners and nine starters from last year's team that went 1-9 in duals. NWU was picked to finish 9
th in the inaugural IIAC Preseason Coaches' Poll that was released on Nov. 1.
It is an exciting time surrounding the Nebraska Wesleyan wrestling program as the brand new wrestling facility is nearing completion and will be available for training this month to give the Prairie Wolves a state-of-the-art training facility on campus.
NWU will face a tough challenge in the season opening dual versus Wartburg on Saturday. The Knights are the returning NCAA III National Champions and have won eight of the past DIII National Championships. Wartburg has won 25 straight IIAC wrestling championships and the Knights currently are on a streak of 196 straight IIAC dual victories.
