Box Score 2 CHICAGO, Ill. -- The Nebraska Wesleyan volleyball team picked up their first victory of the 2015 season with a pair of wins on the opening day of the North Park Tournament on Friday (Sept. 11) in Chicago.
NWU opened the afternoon with a five set thrilling victory over the host school North Park. The Prairie Wolves won in scores of 25-19, 21-25, 25-17, 28-30, 15-11. They finished the day with a 3-0 victory over North Central in scores of 25-22, 25-15, 25-15.
In the win over North Park,
Mackenzie Allen led the way with 15 kills.
Malory Dahl also had double digits with 13 kills. Dahl also had six block assists. Kelsy Bahe handed out 24 assists.
Nebraska Wesleyan dominated against North Central in the three set victory. The Prairie Wolves had just three hitting errors as a team in the entire match. Dahl had eight kills to lead the team on the attack.
The Prairie Wolves (2-4) will have two more matches on Saturday afternoon as they try to get back to .500. NWU will take on Alverno and Manchester in a pair of NCAA III matches.
