Nebraska Wesleyan tied their season high with 11 runs scored as the Prairie Wolves rolled past Hendrix College, 11-1, in five innings in game two of a softball doubleheader played on Wednesday (Mar. 25) in Conway, Ark. Hendrix won the first game, 8-1, as the teams split the doubleheader.
NWU remains at .500 on the season with a 7-7 overall record and will be back in action on Thursday as they continue their spring break trip with a doubleheader at University of Ozarks.
The Prairie Wolves scored six runs in the top of the second inning of game two to break the game wide open.Â
Brittni Eitzmann led off with a triple to get the inning rolling and would later have a 2-run single as she hit twice in the inning.Â
Kayla Randel hit an RBI double and
Rachel Kubik hit a 2-run single for the big hits of the inning.
NWU added on three more runs in the third inning as Randel had an RBI single and Kubik drove in two more runs with a single up the middle.
Chaley Hamilton allowed just three hits and one run to get the win on the mound for Nebraska Wesleyan to improve to 4-3 on the season.
Kubik had a huge day at the plate going 3-3 with four RBI and two runs scored.Â

Betsy Reimer also had two hits in the win.
The day got off to a rough start for the Prairie Wolves as they dropped the opener 8-1. NWU committed four errors and had just four hits in the loss.Â
Madi Francis drove in the only run with a pinch hit RBI double in the fifth inning.
