FREMONT, Neb. -- Nebraska Wesleyan went nearly ten minutes without a field goal during a stretch of the second half as Midland University pulled away for a 73-38 victory over the Prairie Wolves in GPAC women's basketball action Wednesday night (Dec. 3) at the Event Center in Fremont, Neb.
NWU trailed by 15 points at halftime, but scored a total of just 18 points in the second half as the Warriors dominated the final 20 minutes.Â
Alli Kalal hit a 3-pointer for the Prairie Wolves to make the score 44-27 with 17:00 minutes to play in the second half. From there, Midland went on a 17-0 run to take a 61-27 lead. NWU got a free throw at the 8:45 mark but didn't get their next field goal until a

Midland shot 53.2 percent in the second half and held NWU to under 30 percent shooting. The Warriors also forced a season-high 32 turnovers for the Prairie Wolves as NWU struggled with the Midland pressure defense.
Felicia TeKolste led the way for the Prairie Wolves with 13 points and seven rebounds and was the only NWU player in double figures.
Four players were in double figures for Midland in a balanced scoring effort for the hometown Warriors. Jaylan Spencer came off the bench to score 12 points and lead the way.
