LINCOLN, Neb. -- 15th-ranked Nebraska Wesleyan University picked up their 20th win of the season on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 25) as the Prairie Wolves swept past Mount Marty College, 3-0, at Snyder Arena.
NWU won in scores of 25-14, 25-13, 25-16 to improve to 20-6 overall and 8-6 in GPAC play. Mount Marty falls to 10-17, 2-10 GPAC.
The Prairie Wolves pounded out 43 total kills and hit .307 as a team as they cruised to the victory. NWU also had seven service aces on the day.
Nebraska Wesleyan went on a huge run in the second set as the Prairie Wolves scored nine straight points to go up 22-9 and roll to the 25-13 win. In the third set, NWU was equally as dominant as they jumped ahead 6-0 and Mount Marty never got closer than four points the rest of the way.
Katelyn Walsh led the way with 15 kills in the match, posting a hit percentage of .538 as she had just one error.
Alyssa Stanek pounded out 12 kills with four blocks and
Malory Dahl had nine kills.
Alexa Rosenau had 24 assists, while
Mackenzie Ashton had a match-high nine digs.
