Braden Smith is the Director of Athletic Communication at Nebraska Wesleyan University, where he oversees all aspects of athletic communications for the Prairie Wolves. With a passion for storytelling and a commitment to promoting the university's athletic programs, Braden has played a pivotal role in enhancing the visibility of NWU's student-athletes and teams.
In his current position, Braden manages media relations, game-day operations, and digital content creation, ensuring that the achievements of the Prairie Wolves are highlighted across various platforms. Under his leadership, the department has seen growth in social media engagement and media coverage.
Braden has background in athletic communications, having previously served as a student assistant for four years at NWU.
Braden holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from Nebraska Wesleyan University where he developed a foundation in sports management and communication. Outside of his professional endeavors, he enjoys playing basketball and spending time with his family.
Braden resides in Lincoln, Nebraska, with his wife, Larissa, and is dedicated to creating a positive experience for student-athletes both on and off the field.
