    Assistant Volleyball Coach
Laurel Meske begins her first season as an assistant with the Prairie Wolves volleyball program.
 
Previous to joining the NWU coaching staff, Meske spent one season coaching at Drake University.  She then was married and moved back to the Lincoln area.
 
Meske was a volleyball player at Creighton University from 2008-11.  She was named First-Team All-Missouri Valley Conference as a middle blocker during her senior season and was Second-Team All-Conference as a junior.   As a senior she led the team in blocks and kills. In 2010 she led the Bluejays to a NCAA Tournament appearance.
 
The Eagan, Minnesota native also served as an assistant coach at Omaha Marian High School in 2012 helping the team to a Class A Nebraska State runner-up finish.  She was a coach with the Premier Volleyball Club for four years and played for Northern Lights, one of the top club teams in the Minneapolis-St. Paul region.
 
She earned her bachelor’s degree in communication studies from Creighton University in May 2012.
