Angie Boldt begins her first season as an assistant with the Prairie Wolves volleyball program. She will serve as the junior varsity coach.
Boldt spent the 2014 season at the University of Arkansas as an assistant volleyball coach. In her role she helped the Razorbacks to a 6th place finish in the SEC and coach two All-SEC players.
Prior to coaching at Arkansas, Boldt coached at the University of Iowa for six seasons from 2008-13. During her tenure at Iowa, she spent five seasons as the program’s director of operations and was promoted to assistant coach in 2013. She helped the Hawkeyes earn four wins over Top 20 Big Ten opponents and coached 29 Academic All-Big Ten selections. Individually, Boldt helped oversee the development of setter Nikki Dailey who finished her Hawkeye career ranked 5th in program history in assists.
Boldt spent the 2006-07 season at the University of Alabama as a graduate assistant for volleyball operations and was part of two NCAA Tournament teams. As a student assistant, she worked at the University of Nebraska from 2003-05 helping the Huskers to two Big 12 titles.
At the club level, she currently serves as a coach for Premier Volleyball based in Omaha, Neb. She also served as head coach for Iowa Rockets in Iowa, which advanced to the national tournament both seasons under her direction. Additionally, she has club experience with South Central Volleyball Club in Nebraska and Club Crimson in Alabama.
Bold earned her bachelor’s degree in science education and coaching at the University of Nebraska and went on to earn a master’s degree in sport management at Alabama. She is married to Ben Boldt, who is an assistant volleyball coach at Iowa Western Community College.
