Travis Muntz is in his second season as an assistant basketball coach for the Nebraska Wesleyan women’s basketball program.
Muntz has lots of experience working at various levels of basketball during his career. He comes to NWU after spending the past four seasons as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Jamestown Community College in New York. While working at Jamestown C.C., he also spent the 2016-17 working as a volunteer assistant with the women’s team at St. Bonaventure University.
During the 2015-16 season Muntz served as a student assistant with the women’s basketball team at the University of Buffalo. He also worked as an assistant boys basketball coach at Frewsburg Central High School in New York.
From 2005-10, Muntz was at West Virginia University working with the men’s and women’s basketball programs. He served for two years under John Beilein at WVU as a manager with the men’s program. For three years he was a practice player helping the Mountaineer women’s team.
The Jamestown N.Y., native spent one year in South Korea teaching English to children from age 5-16.
Muntz earned his bachelor’s degree in history from West Virginia in 2010. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in sport management from California University (Pa.).
