Loysha Morris is in her second season as an assistant coach for the Nebraska Wesleyan women’s basketball program.
Morris came to NWU after a successful playing career at the University of Memphis. As a senior, she played in 28 games earning seven starts to finish the season. She scored a career-high 14 points in the first round of the American Athletic Conference Tournament.
She played in 59 career games in two season for the Tigers and was named to the Spring 2017 Tiger 3.0 Club.
Morris began her career at Garden City Community College in Kansas playing two seasons. She was named to the All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) West Second-Team as a sophomore in 2014-15.
A native of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Morris played her prep basketball at Downsview Secondary School. She was named a 2010 Toronto Star Greater Area All-Star and was a member of the 2012 team that advanced to the OFSAA Championship. Following her time at Downsview she played for Advantage Titans in the JUEL provincial league.
