LINCOLN, Neb. - Due to current course conditions and the forecast for inclement weather throughout the week, the Greeno-Dirksen Invitational, originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 19, has been canceled.

With additional precipitation expected throughout the week, the decision was made with the safety of the student-athletes expected to compete as a priority. 

Nebraska Wesleyan University and the University of Nebraska co-host the annual cross country meet, which was scheduled to feature more than 600 student-athletes this year.

The Prairie Wolves will instead compete Saturday morning at the Viking Invitational, hosted by Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa.
