LINCOLN, Neb. -- Nebraska Wesleyan's
Jace Winkler has been named the American Rivers Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance Saturday in the Prairie Wolves' matchup at NAIA No. 25 Dakota State in Madison, South Dakota.
The junior from Littleton, Colorado, averaged 41.6 yards on 11 punts, with a 59-yard boot that was one of three 50-plus-yard punts, and he had four downed inside the 20-yard line in a loss at Dakota State.
Winkler's 59-yard punt in the second quarter was the second-longest punt in the league this season, trailing only his own 67-yard punt from Week 1.
Nebraska Wesleyan returns to field Saturday, September 19
