Fahrnbruch Complete-Game Gem + Ratzlaff Rallies NWU Past Wilmington and Wisconsin Lutheran

MELBOURNE, Fla. — Nebraska Wesleyan swept a doubleheader Thursday at the Space Coast Spring Games, defeating Wilmington College 4-2 and Wisconsin Lutheran 5-3 to improve to 7-5 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Game 1: Nebraska Wesleyan 4, Wilmington 2
The Prairie Wolves used a complete-game performance from Eva Fahrnbruch to take the opener. Fahrnbruch scattered nine hits over seven innings, striking out two and walking two while holding the Quakers to a pair of runs. Taylor Korecky and Stella Campin each drove in a run for Nebraska Wesleyan, which added insurance runs in the sixth and seventh innings to put the game away.

Game 2: Nebraska Wesleyan 5, Wisconsin Lutheran 3

The nightcap required more resolve. Wisconsin Lutheran built a 3-1 lead through three innings before Nebraska Wesleyan began chipping away. The Prairie Wolves tied the game in the fourth on an RBI single by Stella Campin, then seized control with a two-run fifth inning to take a lead they would not relinquish.

Jaedyn Ratzlaff earned the win in game two, allowing three runs, two earned, over a complete-game seven innings. Jenna Kimberling went 3-for-3 with two runs scored in the victory. Nebraska Wesleyan out-hit Wisconsin Lutheran 14-5 in the nightcap and 23-14 across the doubleheader.

UP NEXT

The Prairie Wolves are now 5-3 at the 2026 Space Coast Spring Games. Nebraska Wesleyan will return on Friday with two more games starting with a game against Wisconsin Eau-Claire at 9:00 am CT.
