Prairie Wolves Battle to Scoreless Draw at Concordia (MN)

MOORHEAD, Minn. – Nebraska Wesleyan women's soccer controlled much of the play on Sunday afternoon but came away with a 0-0 draw against Concordia College (Minn.) at the Jake Christiansen Athletic Complex. The result moved the Prairie Wolves to 1-2-1 on the season, while the Cobbers sit at 0-1-2.

How It Happened

First Half
The Prairie Wolves pushed forward early with two attempts from freshman forward Emily Abeyta, including a shot on goal in the third minute that was saved. NWU outshot the Cobbers 4-1 in the opening 45 minutes, but neither side could break through.

Second Half
Nebraska Wesleyan continued to create chances after halftime, tallying five more shots, including Abeyta's second on-target effort in the 84th minute. The Prairie Wolves defense remained steady, limiting Concordia to just two shots in the period. Despite a 2-0 edge in shots on goal and 2-2 split in corners, the match closed in a scoreless draw.
