LINCOLN, Neb. - Nebraska Wesleyan women's soccer earned a 1–1 draw against Dakota Wesleyan on Wednesday night at Abel Stadium. The Prairie Wolves (1-2-2) generated consistent offensive pressure with 14 total shots, while senior goalkeeper Jena Schultz anchored the defense with nine saves across 90 minutes. The Tigers (0-1-3) struck first in the opening half before NWU equalized later in the period behind the relentless effort of Emily Abeyta.

How It Happened

Dakota Wesleyan opened the scoring in the 19th minute when Hannah Petrucci finished a ball from Arielle Montanez to put the Tigers up 1–0.

The Prairie Wolves responded in the 35th minute thanks to persistent high pressure from Emily Abeyta. After a defensive clearance attempt by the DWU keeper, Abeyta blocked the ball into the back of the net, leveling the match at 1–1.

The second half saw both sides create opportunities, with Schultz making several key saves to preserve the draw. Despite six second-half shots and three corners from NWU, neither team could find a breakthrough.
