Prairie Wolves Sweep Buena Vista in A-R-C Home Opener

LINCOLN, Neb. - The Nebraska Wesleyan volleyball team dominated Buena Vista in their first A-R-C home game of the 2025 season, securing a decisive 3-0 victory (25-20, 25-15, 25-20) in Snyder Arena. Freshman Macy Plucker led the offensive charge with 13 kills, helping the Prairie Wolves improve to 11-3 overall and 1-1 in American Rivers Conference play.

How It Happened

After Buena Vista's early 5-4 lead, the Prairie Wolves responded with a four-point run, taking control behind Plucker's serving. The team rallied late, with Plucker recording five kills to secure a 25-20 set victory.

Nebraska Wesleyan quickly established dominance in the second set, sparking a 5-1 run to build an early lead. Ella Foote and Macy Plucker combined for eight kills, helping the Prairie Wolves cruise to a comfortable 25-15 set win.

Facing a 13-11 deficit in the third set, the Prairie Wolves mounted a comeback. A crucial block by freshmen Ava Stone and Macy Plucker and key kills from Plucker and Jera Schuerman, turned the tide. Kobie Patten sealed the match with a service ace, securing the 25-20 win.
