Box Score DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolves fell to the Loras College Duhawks 6-1 on Friday, September 26, 2025, in Dubuque, Iowa. With the loss, the Prairie Wolves move to 1-4 overall and 1-3 in American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) play, while Loras improves to 3-3 overall and 1-3 in the A-R-C.
Despite the team result, the Prairie Wolves saw a standout performance from Parker Brown, who earned the lone singles victory for Nebraska Wesleyan.
HOW IT HAPPENED
In doubles action, the Prairie Wolves fought hard but ultimately fell short in all three matches. Crystal Craft and Caitlin Hudson battled in the #1 doubles match, eventually falling in a tiebreaker 7-6(3) to Loras's Covelli and Breitbach. Kylie Engelsman and Parker Brown lost 6-2 in the #2 doubles match against Kalina and Roling, while Jayna Erickson and Gracey Smith also lost 6-2 in the #3 doubles match against Tatum and Burger.
In singles play, Parker Brown secured a victory for the Prairie Wolves, defeating Tatum in the #3 singles match 6-3, 6-2. Brown's win marks her 13th career singles victory and extends her winning streak to three matches this season.
Other singles matches saw tough competition for the Prairie Wolves. Crystal Craft fell to Breitbach in the #1 singles match 0-6, 0-2. Kylie Engelsman battled in the #2 singles match, eventually losing in a tiebreaker 6-7(2), 6-0, 8-10. Jayna Erickson lost to Covelli in the #4 singles match 2-6, 0-6. Gracey Smith lost to Roling 0-6, 7-6(10), 7-10. Sylvia Kamradt lost to Keiper 2-6, 6-0.
