Women's Tennis to Host Hastings in Second of Three Straight Home Matches

Lincoln, NE - Nebraska Wesleyan women's tennis will look to build off a dominant 6-1 victory over Buena Vista when hosting Hastings on Tuesday.

LOCATION & MATCH TIME
Nebraska Wesleyan will host Buena Vista on Tuesday, September 16th, at 4:00 p.m., at LSF Sports Complex, in Lincoln, Nebraska. 

ABOUT THE PRAIRIE WOLVES
Nebraska Wesleyan enters Tuesday 1-2 overall after defeating Buena Vista, 6-1, in their last match. Tuesday's contest will mark the first of seven non conference matches. In singles play, NWU is 8-10 as a team. Individually, Kylie Engelsman is off to a red hot collegiate start with a 3-0 record. In doubles play, Nebraska Wesleyan has earned the lone available point in one of three matches. 

HEAD COACH LEE STEINBROOK 
Lee Steinbrook is in his sixth year as head coach at Nebraska Wesleyan. Under his leadership, the Prairie Wolves have consistently grown and competed at a high level, with multiple players earning conference honors. Steinbrook's focus on developing both the athletic and academic skills of his players has been a cornerstone of the team's success.

Nebraska Wesleyan has a storied history in women's tennis, winning 16 conference regular-season championships and seven conference tournament championships.

A LOOK AT THE BRONCOS
Hastings is yet to compete at a dual match in 2025, with their lone competition being the GPAC Invite. In 2024, the Broncos went 9-12. Hastings is coached by Josh Sodorff

SERIES HISTORY VS HASTINGS COLLEGE
Tuesday will mark the 29th meeting between the Prairie Wolves and Broncos. Nebraska Wesleyan holds a resounding 26-2 advantage in the all-time series
