Box Score PELLA, Iowa - Nebraska Wesleyan women's tennis dropped its second straight American Rivers Conference match to open the 2025 season, falling 6–1 on the road at Central College Wednesday afternoon. The Prairie Wolves (0–2, 0–2 A-R-C) picked up one doubles victory and a strong performance from freshman Kylie Engelsman in singles play, while the Dutch (4–0, 3–0 A-R-C) extended their all-time series lead to 10–2.
 

How It Happened

NWU came out competitive in doubles, securing a win at the No. 1 spot. Seniors Crystal Craft paired with Caitlin Hudson to earn the Prairie Wolves' first point of the day, but Central captured the other two matches to grab a 1–0 overall lead heading into singles.

In singles play, Engelsman once again stood out. The freshman delivered a third set tiebreaker victory at the No. 2 position to give NWU its lone singles point of the match. Despite hard-fought efforts across the lineup, Central was able to close out the remaining courts to secure the team win.
