Seward, Neb. – Nebraska Wesleyan women's soccer battled through a wet and rainy afternoon but came up short in a 4-0 loss at Concordia (Neb.) on Saturday. The Bulldogs struck for three first-half goals and limited the Prairie Wolves to just two shots on the day.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
Concordia's attack wasted little time applying pressure, recording eight shots and capitalizing three times before halftime. Senior goalkeeper
Jena Schultz made four saves in the opening 45 minutes to keep the Bulldogs from stretching the margin even further. Despite a handful of promising possessions, the Prairie Wolves were unable to generate a shot in the first half against Concordia's organized back line.
Second Half
Nebraska Wesleyan regrouped after the break, making tactical and personnel adjustments to settle into the match. The Bulldogs added their fourth goal in the 60th minute, but the Prairie Wolves fought hard down the stretch. Sophomore

Averie Hike tested the keeper with a strike from outside the box in the 86th minute. Junior goalkeeper
Catthi Pham entered in the 65th minute and kept Concordia off the board the rest of the way, making one save in just over 25 minutes of action.
