COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa – Nebraska Wesleyan finished eighth at the Bent Tree Intercollegiate on Tuesday, closing its 2024-25 season at Iowa Western Community College's par-72 course. Senior Madison Jackson capped her Prairie Wolves career with a team-low 87 (+15) in the final round.
How It Happened
The Prairie Wolves posted a two-day total of +183, improving by one stroke in Round 2 (+91) after opening with a +92. Host Iowa Western, ranked 14th in NJCAA Division I, won the team title at +58.
Jackson, playing in her final collegiate event, led NWU with rounds of 83-87. She pared the par-3 18th in Round 2 and finished +26 overall. Sophomore Haley Blackstone followed with a 96 (+24) on Day 2, carding five pars.
O'Brasia Amos (+25) and Lauren Hays (+27) rounded out the scoring, while Shea Meridith battled through a 107 (+35) with three pars. The Prairie Wolves struggled on Bent Tree's longest holes, playing the par-5s at +66 for the tournament.
