LINCOLN, Neb. — Nebraska Wesleyan's softball team sent its seniors out in style Saturday, sweeping Coe (11-24, 2-8) 4-3 and 3-1 at Sandhills Global Youth Complex. Graduate pitcher Elise Warneke (W, 18-4) starred in both games, tying the program's single-season wins record while the offense delivered timely hits to clinch the doubleheader.

Game 1: NWU 4, Coe 3
Coe took a 2-1 lead in the second, but Hanna Roth answered with a two-run homer in the fifth, her team-leading third of the year, to tie it at three. In the sixth, Eva Fahmbruch's RBI single scored Becca Chloupek (pinch-running for Val Gerlach) for the go-ahead run. Warneke stranded the tying run on first base in the seventh, finishing with 7 IP, 7 H, 3 ER, and 2 K.
Game 2: NWU 3, Coe 1
NWU capitalized on errors, scoring two unearned runs in the second. Fahmbruch (RBI) and Roth (sacrifice bunt RBI) drove in runs, while Warneke tossed another complete game (5 H, 1 ER, 3 K). Coe's only run came on a first-inning sacrifice fly.
