LINCOLN, Neb. – Nebraska Wesleyan men's basketball standouts Carter Glenn and Seth Newton earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors, the organization announced Tuesday.
The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for excellence on the court and in the classroom. To qualify, nominees must hold a 3.50+ GPA, be key contributors, and compete in at least 90% of their team's games.
Glenn, a senior guard from Lincoln, averaged 13.4 points and 3.2 assists while majoring in Financial Planning. A three-time Academic All-Conference selection, he dropped 20+ points in five games this season.
Newton, a senior forward from Canon City, Colorado, posted 6.0 points and 5.1 rebounds per game while pursuing his master's degree in Business Administration. Newton started all 27 games and shot 43% from the field.
Both players helped lead the Prairie Wolves to the A-R-C Tournament Championship game.
The CSC Academic All-America® teams will be announced in April. Glenn and Newton are now eligible for national selection.
