Nebraska Wesleyan University placed 46 student-athletes on the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Winter All-Academic Team, the conference office announced Friday. The Prairie Wolves' total marks the highest among all A-R-C institutions for the winter season.
To qualify for the A-R-C All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher and be at least a sophomore in academic standing with at least one year in residence.
NWU's 46 honorees were spread across seven winter sports, with men's swimming leading the conference with nine selections. Women's swimming had the most selections of any sport at NWU with 10, while men's basketball, women's basketball, men's wrestling, competitive cheer, and competitive dance also contributed to the total.
