ABOUT NEBRASKA WESLEYAN
This weekend will see Nebraska Wesleyan compete at its seventh meet of the season. The Prairie Wolves last competed at the Fred Beile Classic, where several athletes jumped up in the national rankings, climbed into a program top 10 chart, or set a new personal best. On the men's side, this includes
Eli Etherton, who ran the fifth fastest time in the country in the 60 meter hurdles, while
Sam Clements rose to ninth nationally in the shot put. In high jump,
Eli Mackowski cleared 2.03 meters to move into 16th nationally. On the women's side,
Kaelyn Means,
Ja'Dein Madison, and
Lyndsie Bosquez each recorded top 50 marks in the weight throw, while
Emily Druse vaulted into the 46th best pole vault in the country.
Natalie Cummins also delivered a break through performance in long jump, jumping 5.40 meters and sliding into 45th nationally. As the season nears its halfway point, the Prairie Wolves will continue to strive to be in tune before championship season.
TOP 50 NATIONAL MARKS
WOMEN
Nebraska Wesleyan boasts eight top 50 national performances. This includes
Kaelyn Means (20th) and
Ja'Dein Madison (24th) in the weight throw. Madison also ranks 47th in shot put. Emmilly Burgland joins Madison in the top 50, holding strong at 22nd. Senior
Emily Druse ranks 46th in pole vault.
Natalie Cummins ranks 45th in long jump after going 5.40 meters last Saturday. On the track,
Keeley Hourigan holds the 29th fastest 60 meter hurdle time in the country. The women's 4x400 meter relay consisting of

Keeley Hourigan,
Raegan Levi, and
Chloe Mooberry currently sits at 24th nationally.
MEN
On the men's side, Nebraska Wesleyan has recorded eight top 50 performances. This includes
Sam Clements (9th) in shot put, and
Eric Lenz (29th and 18th), in shot put and weight throw.
Eli Mackowski currently sits at 16th nationally in high jump. On the track, Nebraska Wesleyan boasts three hurdlers who rank in the top 50 with
Eli Etherton checking in at fifth,
Noah Smith following at ninth, and
Jacob Young holding serve at 39th. The men's 4x400 meter relay consisting of
Morgan Conner,
McClain Meyer,
Jackson Feauto, and
Austin Nauert currently sits at 23rd nationally.
PROGRAM TOP 10 MARKS
Through five meets, Nebraska Wesleyan has posted 11 program top 10 performances. On the women's side this includes
Jadah Laughlin (10th) in the 300,
Keeley Hourigan (7th) in the 60 meter hurdles,
Emily Druse (4th) in pole vault,
Kaelyn Means (7th) in the weight throw,
Delaney Vacek (7th) in the 1000, and
Natalie Cummins (8th) in the 60 meter dash. On the men's side,
Noah Smith holds the second fastest 60 meter hurdle time in school history, while
Jacob Young and
Tanner Johnson rank seventh and ninth in the same event.
McClain Meyer sits at 10th in the 200 meter dash, while
Sam Clements holds the seventh furthest shot put in school history.
DIRECTOR OF TRACK & FIELD AND CROSS COUNTRY DERRICK MCKENZIE PROFILE
Derrick McKenzie is in his second season as the Director of Track & Field and Cross Country at Nebraska Wesleyan. In his first year, Nebraska Wesleyan had 14 NCAA qualifying performances, five NCAA All-Americans, and two National Runner Ups. The Prairie Wolves also won six individual conference championships and broke numerous school records. Prior to being named Director of Track & Field and Cross Country, McKenzie served as an assistant coach at NWU, where he coached sprints and relays.
