Rosatelli Earns Fourth Career A-R-C Swimmer of the Week After Record-Breaking Weekend in Chicago

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (November 24, 2025) - Nebraska Wesleyan junior Mattia Rosatelli has been named the American Rivers Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week for the period ending November 23, capping off one of the most complete performances of his Prairie Wolves career. The Rome, Italy native delivered a standout three-day effort at the 16th Annual Phoenix Fall Classic in Chicago, a meet loaded with nationally ranked programs and some of the top swimmers in the Midwest.

Rosatelli once again established himself as one of the premier breaststrokers in the conference and within the region, breaking his own school record in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 55.77. The swim not only secured the B-Final title but also solidified him as one of only two Prairie Wolves in program history to break the 56-second barrier. His time ranks among the fastest in the conference this season and positions him near the national conversation heading into championship season.

He didn't stop there. Rosatelli also logged a lifetime best in the 200 breaststroke, clocking a 2:02.84 to win the C-Final during Sunday's session.

Beyond his individual success, Rosatelli played a critical role in elevating NWU's relay performances. He anchored the Prairie Wolves' highest-finishing relay of the weekend, the 800 freestyle. His relay legs throughout the meet were among NWU's most reliable, and his presence on deck continued to set the tone for a young roster gaining momentum.

Rosatelli's award marks the fourth American Rivers Conference Performer of the Week honor of his career and his second of the 2025–26 season.

The Prairie Wolves finished ninth in the team standings at the Phoenix Fall Classic but closed the meet with renewed confidence heading into the holiday break.

Rosatelli and the Prairie Wolves return to the pool on January 10 for their first meet of 2026, hosting College of Saint Mary (Neb.) and Iowa Western Community College in a home triangular at the Weary Natatorium. The matchup opens an important stretch as NWU prepares for the championship phase of its season.
