TACOMA, Wash. — Nebraska Wesleyan couldn't overcome a slow offensive night from long range, falling 75–57 at Pacific Lutheran on Saturday to wrap up its two-game road trip through Washington. The loss moves the Prairie Wolves to 2–3 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
NWU and PLU traded early buckets, with the score tied 13–13 after a coast-to-coast finish from Nick Howard. Pacific Lutheran slowly gained separation midway through the half. A late Lute run pushed the margin to double digits. NWU entered halftime down 34–19.
Second Half
PLU opened the half on a burst to build a 29-point lead. Winn caught fire offensively, helping NWU trim the deficit with mid-range and at-rim scoring. NWU won stretches of the half defensively and on the boards but couldn't overcome the early deficit. The Prairie Wolves finished the trip with a 75–57 setback.
