Men's Soccer to Close Out Regular Season at Coe

Lincoln, NE - Nebraska Wesleyan men's soccer will close its 2025 regular season at Coe College, Tuesday afternoon.

LOCATION & MATCH TIME
Nebraska Wesleyan at Coe will kick off at 3:30 p.m., on Tuesday, October 28th. The game will be played at Clark Field, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Coe will live stream the game and carry live stats.

A LOOK AT NEBRASKA WESLEYAN
Nebraska Wesleyan clinched a berth in the A-R-C tournament after defeating Buena Vista and tying Luther last week. The Prairie Wolves enter Tuesday 5-6-5 overall, and 3-2-2 in conference play. The Prairie Wolves have scored 21 goals on season, and average 1.31 goals per game, and have scored two or more goals in six of their 16 matches. The Black and Gold have taken 194 shots, with 81 being placed on goal. NWU has a versatile offense that features multiple scoring options. Thus far, Franklyn Herasme and Max Matthies have emerged as the teams most lethal offensive weapons, recording six goals each, while combining for four assists. Defensively, the Prairie Wolves have allowed 1.94 goals per game, while opposing teams have combined to take 199 shots. Goalkeeper Graedon Hilton has made 57 saves, and holds a 66.3 save percentage.

Head Coach Brandon Bonilla is in his eighth season as the head coach of Nebraska Wesleyan, where he holds a 55-54-20 record. 

NEBRASKA WESLEYAN MEN'S SOCCER TRADITION
The Prairie Wolves have claimed four conference championships and hold an all-time record of 301-238-51, highlighted by an undefeated 19-0 season in 1999. The last time the Prairie Wolves were crowned conference tournament champions was in 2001.

CONFERENCE QUALIFIERS
Nebraska Wesleyan's tie with Luther, coupled with Coe's loss to Dubuque ensured that NWU had qualified for the 2025 American Rivers Conference tournament. This marks the fifth straight season that NWU has qualified for the A-R-C tournament and is the seventh time the Prairie Wolves have earned a berth since joining the A-R-C in 2016.

SCOUTING COE
Coe enters Tuesday with a 4-8-4 record. The Kohawks were defeated by Dubuque in their last match. Coe averages 1.13 goals per game and has taken 138 shots. Defensively, Coe allows 1.56 goals per game. The Kohawks are led by Kyle Bakas, in his sixth season.

SERIES HISTORY AGAINST COE
Tuesday will mark the 19th meeting between Nebraska Wesleyan and Coe. The Prairie Wolves lead the all-time series 13-3-2.
