LINCOLN, Neb. (September 9th, 2024) - Both Nebraska Wesleyan's men's and women's tennis teams are set for home matches against Concordia University and Hastings College this week.
LOCATION & MATCH TIME
Both the men's and women's teams will face Concordia on Tuesday, September 10th, and Hastings on Thursday, September 12th. Each match will take place at LSF Sports Complex, in Lincoln, Nebraska. The start time for all matches is 4:00 p.m.
HEAD COACH LEE STEINBROOK
Lee Steinbrook is entering year six as the head coach at Nebraska Wesleyan. Under his leadership, the Prairie Wolves have continued to grow and compete at a high level, with multiple players earning conference honors. Steinbrook's commitment to developing both the athletic and academic skills of his players has been a cornerstone of the team's success.

A LOOK AT CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY
Tuesday will mark the first match of the season for Concordia. Last season, the Bulldos went 11-8 overall, with a 5-2 record in conference play. Concordia is coached by Lisa Hart, who will be entering her second season as the head coach.
SERIES HISTORY AGAINST CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY
Nebraska Wesleyan and Concordia will meet for the 22nd time on Tuesday. Nebraska Wesleyan holds a 15-6 lead in the series. However, the Bulldogs have won the last five matches. Nebraska Wesleyan's last victory came in 2016, when the Prairie Wolves beat the Bulldogs 8-1.
A LOOK AT HASTINGS COLLEGE
Hastings College competed at the Colorado College Invite last weekend. The Broncos went 9-13 last season, and 2-3 in conference play. The Broncos are coached by Josh Sodorff, who is in his sixth season.
SERIES HISTORY AGAINST HASTINGS COLLEGE
Thursday will mark the 27th meeting in a series that has been dominated by Nebraska Wesleyan. The Prairie Wolves hold a 25-1 lead in the series, however, Hastings beat the Prairie Wolves 9-0 on February 17th, 2018, which is the most recent match up between the teams.

ABOUT THE PRAIRIE WOLVES
Nebraska Wesleyan returns many contributors from last year's team. This includes A-R-C honorable mention selection Jacob Balfany. Last season, Balfany finished the conference season with a 4-4 singles record and shared time at both the No. 1 and No. 2 spot in the conference. Nebraska Wesleyan went 4-8 in 2023, with a 4-4 record against conference opponents.

Last season saw the Bulldogs go 8-13 overall, and 2-4 in conference play. Concordia is coached by Lisa Hart who will be entering her second season in 2024.
