LINCOLN, Neb. (September 8th, 2024) – Nebraska Wesleyan men's soccer secured a 3-0 victory over Concordia-Moorhead on Sunday afternoon at Abel Stadium, improving to 3-1-0 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Prairie Wolves controlled possession from the beginning, leading to a goal late in the first half. In the 40th minute, Caden Tubaugh opened the scoring with a shot assisted by Thomas Pisasale, giving NWU a 1-0 lead going into the break.
In the second half, Nebraska Wesleyan continued to put pressure on the Cobbers defense. Franklyn Herasme extended the lead in the 67th minute with an unassisted goal, his first of the season. The Prairie Wolves sealed the win in the 80th minute when Bryan Andrade found the back of the net from outside the box off assists from Jaden Hayes and Henry Spethman, making it 3-0.
Nebraska Wesleyan's defense, anchored by goalkeeper Zachary Weis, held Concordia-Moorhead to just two shots on goal, securing the shutout victory.
