Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer Defeated by #6 Colorado College

LINCOLN, Neb. (September 7th, 2024) - Nebraska Wesleyan men's soccer fought hard, but suffered its first loss of the season on Saturday to #6 Colorado College. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
Nebraska Wesleyan came out with something to prove, firing two shots before the seven minute mark. However, Colorado College stole the momentum as the Tigers took the next six shots, the last of which being a goal in the 30th minute. The rest of the first half saw no scoring as Colorado College took a 1-0 lead into the break. 

Nebraska Wesleyan continued to battle, but it was a losing fight as Colorado College continued to press the Prairie Wolf defense with 10 shots in the first 20 minutes of the second half. The Tigers finally broke through on shot 11 to make the score 2-0. The Prairie Wolves struggled offensively for the remainder of the game as they were able to muster just one shot against the Tiger defense. 

Nebraska Wesleyan recorded three total shots with two shots being on target. Colorado College finished with 30 shots and had 9 shots on target. The Tigers had nine corner kicks compared to the Prairie Wolves three.
