LINCOLN, Neb. (September 21, 2024) – Nebraska Wesleyan men's soccer bounced back in a strong fashion, defeating Grinnell College 4-1 on Saturday afternoon. The win improves the Prairie Wolves' record to 4-3-0 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Grinnell struck first in the 23rd minute, taking a 1-0 lead. However, Nebraska Wesleyan responded just before halftime, with Eli Rhodes leveling the match with an unassisted goal. In the second half, the Prairie Wolves took control, as Alex Kohler, Jaden Hayes, and Nick Brickman each found the back of the net, sealing the comeback victory.
Nebraska Wesleyan dominated the shot count with 18 total shots, 12 of which were on target, while Grinnell managed just ten shots with six on goal. Zachary Weis made five saves for the Prairie Wolves in the win.
