LINCOLN, Neb. (September 16, 2024) – Nebraska Wesleyan women's soccer dropped a 2-0 decision to Concordia University (NE) at Abel Stadium on Monday evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Concordia opened the scoring late in the first half when Kierstynn Garner found the back of the net in the 42nd minute. The Prairie Wolves kept the game close throughout the first half, managing to limit Concordia's chances, but struggled to break down the Bulldogs' defense.
In the second half, Concordia doubled their lead in the 65th minute with a well-placed goal from Hannah Haas, assisted by Garner. Nebraska Wesleyan fought hard to get back into the game, registering 10 total shots, including two on target. However, they were unable to capitalize on their opportunities, with Concordia's defense holding firm to secure the victory.
