Lincoln, Neb. (April 27th, 2024)- Nebraska Wesleyan fell to Luther College on Saturday by a score of 9-4. In what was originally scheduled as a doubleheader, game two was postponed due to weather.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Nebraska Wesleyan jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Aaron Chazin scored NWU's first run on a wild pitch, then Jake Gerardis drove in Brady Bell.
• Luther would score four runs in the third to take the lead. 
• The Norse would add three more runs to their lead in the fifth.
• A sixth inning Carter Betts RBI double cut Luther's lead to four.
• In the seventh inning, Evan Kling drew a bases loaded walk, which made the score 7-4.
• Luther would score two insurance runs in the ninth and hold NWU scoreless to secure a game one victory.
